I would like to say that I myself have a certain amount of imposter syndrome to deal with.
On the one hand, we live in a world that imposes a certain value on titles, on the other hand, you need titles to be able to assign positions. I can still remember the time when someone said "full stack developer" and the room went quiet.
Today, it's thrown around like confetti.
But isn't it more important to have real expertise in one area and time will inevitably do the rest? Is a full-stack dev before the time of frameworks no longer one today? What about today's in 10 years? Doesn't the concept of full-stack dev need another era and tech stack focus conditional addOn sooner or later if you continue like this? You wrote yourself, it's more important how you get into new things with your experience than just managing old skills that are inevitably going to eliminate themselves sooner or later
I still have great respect for this title and there it is again, this Imposter thing - many, including me, avoid it maybe also because of that ... so I think you hit the nail on the head when you prefer Software Engineer...
