Spotify streaming quality has completely gone to pot. It does this thing where it skips (kind of like an old CD would) and then tries to make up for it by playing the track super fast? It sounds like dog shit and makes my four year old absolutely furious.

I’ve paid for Spotify for 12 years. I wonder why, in 2025 with 5G and an iPhone 14 Pro Max the streaming playback quality is the worst its ever been? Are they cheaping out on servers? Is the software just worse now?

    Old post but I noticed this is how Disneyplus streaming works as well! It happens when I try to take my phone outside and the wifi loses connection when I stray too far while gardening - when it gets online again it plays at super speed. I am also curious what behavior in the app causes that as the solution!
